Creston Advisory Body (CAB) - serves as the official advisory body to our county supervisor.
Meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the Creston Community Church. Check the Community Bulletin Board for the agenda, which is posted two days prior to the meeting. Also, please be sure to follow the various issues, such as the Groundwater Basin Overdraft, which are followed at the meetings. The CATCH Fund Board has worked for more than 20 years to secure the space and funding for development of Creston Community Center. Meetings, currently led by President Audrey Beatty, are held as needed and are attended by members of participating community clubs including Creston Women's Club, Creston Classic Rodeo, Friends of Creston Library, Creston 4H, Creston Men's Club, etc.

Creston Garden Club normally meets at 1 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. Location varies, so contact (805) 226-9489 for the latest details. The garden can also help you with your purchase of a memorial brick ($75) in the Community Volunteer Garden. The garden is located on Swayze Road next to Creston Community Center. It is free and open to the public. Please enjoy the shade trees, native garden and picnic benches and clean up after yourself to help our volunteers keep the place looking sharp.

Creston Women's Club meets at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of each month and goes on summer hiatus July and August. The Sept meeting is moved around due to Labor Day. Meetings are sometimes held in the Garden and mostly inside the Community Center's little mobile trailer next to the creek. We accept donations which we redistribute to community causes, not the least of which are our Creston Community Center and various education programs including our scholarship fund, supporting education in all its forms.
Creston Classic Rodeo is held annually in mid-September. Proceeds benefit the continued construction of Creston Community Center, along with a scholarship program, and other donations to selected causes.

Creston Community Association is dedicated to fundraising for and maintaining the community-built swimming pool. The pool is generally open as soon as school closes for the summer and closes when school opens its doors again.

Friends of Creston Library meets at 5 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Everyone is invited to help out with this group - no member dues ever. This Friends group supports library activities such as the children's reading programs, adult programs, movies, book/DVD etc. sales twice yearly, and is currently upgrading the backyard.
